Twelve notes of interest and or questions for the El Monte Union High School District’s Superintendent Dr. Zuniga, Board of Trustees President Florencio Briones:
1-Why are there always 3 union members in the interviews for the maintenance department? It’s always the same 3 people: Lisa chambers, Saul Esparza, and Kathy Navarrete
2-Every plant manager in the maintenance department should be moved to another school site so the maintenance department can have less issues and favoritism.
3-Principals and Counselors should not be involved in the maintenance department. We have our departments director, Norma Macias to take care of business.
4-Why is Malle Barrett running the maintenance department and not director Norma Macias?
5-Why is Malee Barrette receiving gifts from companies that the district buys maintenance supplies from?
6-Why is Santiago Avila at Ledesma High School not doing anything during his working hours? Why does he have the students pick up and dump trash. He also has students cleaning the restrooms during the day time. Freddie Arteaga and Bernie Arteaga let Santiago do what ever he wants at Ledesma because Santiago Avila is there handy man at their homes. Santiago Avila also washes Freddie and Bernies house carpets and other district administrators/staff. He also takes the shampoo from Ledesma to clean carpets.
7-Why is the plant manager at Ramona adult school Robert Betancourt letting Frank Miramontes hide with him the 8 hour workday and not do any work? Norma Macias is aware of this and has not done anything about it.
8-Why is Malle Barrett taking lunch breaks over 1 hr? Malee leaves campus and goes and picks up Frank Miramontes from the Ramona center, why?
9- Why is Dr. Eddie Zuniga letting his best friend Malee Barrette do what ever she wants in the maintenance department. Including disappear with Frank Miramontes regularly for long periods of time?
10-Why has Norma Macias not done anything about all the complaints from the maintenance department workers towards the plant managers and night supervisors?
11- Why is Malee Barrett taking other employees from Ramona adult school to south El Monte high school to work without Norma Macias’ permission.
12-Respect the seniority of the maintenance department workers. Stop giving jobs to relatives and friends that have less time and experience working.
