Corruption inclining, morale declining, district unions dividing, and student focus on standardized testing; what is expected of student education…before answering to yourself consider the following article:
Public Education Schools have evolved. Once an institution geared by passionate educators, focused on producing critical thinking assets in society, tragically is STILL enduring a lucrative, illegal, and vicious hostile-takeover.
A decade ago, one could not APPLY for a guidance counseling position (or higher administrative), unless and until one had a minimum of five years teaching experience inside a comprehensive classroom within the K-12 system. Academic inflation today has allowed, nay, provided younger, inexperienced, unqualified, disinterested, and expedited a fast route for applicants/employees. They catapult into positions under the protection of Superintendents and members of the Board of Trustees.
If a municipal, for example, a city’s high school district, has members on the Board of Trustees, Superintendents, administrators, and employees who are working together in making decisions for their personal benefit instead of keeping their student education a priority, what is expected? A hostile-takeover.
People of El Monte, be informed, please be informed and informed correctly. Recently, Vice-President of the Board of Trustees, Carlos G. Salcedo, was exposed.
Vice-President Salcedo has been using the District’s sports fields most every weekend for his kins sports teams. Social gatherings completely disregarding L.A. County Laws during this Covid-19 pandemic. Salcedo was questioned how/why/what/when and since when he has been taking advantage of his position as Board of Trustee Vice-President and putting countless numbers at risk of Covid-19. No clear answer has been stated. Salcedo is also a principal of many years in the EMCD. If Salcedo violated and stole from one district, what has he violated or stolen from the other district? Thinking logically this is quite probable.
If an employee for a business company was to use company equipment, time, personnel, and facilities without anyones knowledge of this the employee would surely be terminated. Aside from the disregard and theft, they may have exposed or endangered other employees and non-employees.
Solidarity is key! El Monte Citizens, what is going on at “Friendly El Monte?” Essentially this is a hostile takeover of the District by misuse, lost capital, and lack of responsibility consistently. Executive editor Jack Camarena is asking for solidarity, support, help; this directly comes from the City’s taxes. Who pays their City taxes in El Monte? If this type of situation goes unchecked, one must infer the Board of Trustees President, Florencio Briones (who has many times over publicly stated Salcedo is a long time colleague, friend, and mentor for nearly two decades now) knew, or is okay with this type of hostile takeover. This leads to the question if President Briones has/is doing similar and careless things himself?
People of El Monte, Solidarity is the Key.
