Corruption has been in societies since the beginning of time. This is not news. Oil tycoons, steel manufacturers, bankers, and assembly line automakers from the industrial revolution all have a commonality: They have operated under corrupt systems.
From Wall Street to our city streets, corrupt systems thrive. The Free-World of America’s antitrust laws such as: monopolies, copy right infringements, market concentration, etcetera show how corruption thrives. The purpose of private business entities is simple: profit. Profit, by any means necessary. Corrupt systems are status quo in private businesses. What about public entities?
Public entities, for example, school districts, have evolved. Once a service, public education is now a business. Furthermore, the business of public education is booming, why? Because an alarming amount of school district’s board members, superintendents, and administrators now follow private business models, corrupt systems included.
“If a system is corrupt, then the people who adhere to the system, and are incentivized by that system, are not criminals. They are victims. The system itself must be tried.”
